TheaterWorks, the professional regional theater in Downtown Hartford, has staged one of the most significant coups in recent regional theater history. Winner of the Tony Award for Best Play, Red, by John Logan, will be presented March 23 through May 13, 2012. Red, which will be staged by Tazewell Thompson, in fact captured six Tony Awards, including Best Play. It also won the Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Play, the Drama League Award, and the Outer Circle Critics Award for Best New Broadway Play. Time Stands Still, by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Donald Margulies, will be presented June 1 through July 15, 2012.
